Find opponents. Link the match. Show up ready.

Friendlies should not depend on who still checks a Facebook group from 2019. Opt in, find clubs, link the fixture, and keep both sides clear.

UK clubs need games outside the league list — friendlies, warm-ups, cup practice, multi-team swaps when gyms free up. The hunt still happens in scattered posts, DMs and “anyone free Saturday?” threads.

That is how fixtures get double-booked and only one side has the tip time right.

The provoke: a DM is not a fixture agreement

If the opponent lives in one coach’s phone, the assistant cannot confirm travel. If tip time changes in WhatsApp but not on the event, half the squad arrives late. League tools handle NGB registration — they do not always help you find a sensible friendly next door.

You need a basketball-native way to discover teams that want to play, then lock a shared match both clubs can see.

What to teach: directory → propose → link

Run5 Pro includes find opponent, linked matches and an opt-in team directory listing.

This sits beside Basketball England / PlayHQ registration — it does not replace NGB process. It fills the gap between “we need a game” and “both clubs are looking at the same tip.”

How Run5 solves it: discover, link, then run the game with events, RSVP and Live Game Stats when you are on Pro. Steps: How-to · Season & opponents. Start free, try Pro.
